In Your House XVIII: Badd Blood Review

The WWF finally debuts a new match.

The Nation of Domination (Rocky Maivia, Kama Mustafa and D'Lo Brown) defeated The Legion of Doom (Hawk and Animal) in a Handicap match (12:20)
Maivia pinned Hawk after a Rock Bottom.
Ken Shamrock was scheduled to team up with L.O.D. but was injured.
**
I kinda dug this match.

Max Mini and Nova defeated Tarantula and Mosaic (6:43)
Max pinned Tarantula.
On the afternoon preceding this event, Brian Pillman, who was scheduled to face Dude Love on the show, was found dead in his hotel room. The announcement was made to fans during the half-hour "pregame show" prior to the PPV broadcast itself. This match took place because of the incident.

Pillman dies and in his memory, a midget match…awesome WWF…awesome…
The Godwinns (Henry and Phineas) (w/Uncle Cletus) defeated the The Headbangers (Mosh and Thrasher) to win the WWF Tag Team Championship (12:17)
Phineas pinned Mosh after a Powerbomb.

I liked the finish and I also liked…………………………………………………………………………the finish was good.

Legends Ceremony hosted by Jim Ross; honoring some legends of St. Louis wrestling, including Harley Race, Dory Funk, Jr., Gene Kiniski, Terry Funk, Lou Thesz, and promoter Sam Muchnick.
Owen Hart defeated Faarooq to win the vacant WWF Intercontinental Championship (7:12)
Owen pinned Faarooq after Steve Austin hit Faarooq with the IC Title belt. This was the finals of an 8-man Tournament.
½*
I dare you to try and pay attention to this match with Steve Austin doing commentary at every table. DO IT!

Disciples of Apocalypse (Crush, Chainz, 8-Ball and Skull) defeated Los Boricuas (Savio Vega, Jesus Castillo, Jose Estrada, Jr. and Miguel Perez, Jr.) (9:11)
Crush pinned Castillo after a Tilt-a-Whirl backbreaker.
½*
Every show it seems with these 2 teams (hey that rhymes, I just entertained myself more than this match entertained me)

Bret Hart and The British Bulldog defeated Vader and The Patriot in a Flag Match (23:13)
Hart pinned the Patriot.
**1/4
A pin in a flag match? …..OK, sure, why not?

Shawn Michaels defeated The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match (29:59)
Michaels pinned The Undertaker after The Undertaker's (kayfabe) brother Kane made his debut and Tombstoned The Undertaker to become #1 contender to the WWF Championship.
****3/4
This was the 1st HIAC match and Shawn Michaels was the guinea pig. All time classic so if you haven’t seen it, see it.

A one show card like the WWF was usually doing around this time (If we were lucky).
