In Your House: No Way Out of Texas Review

Me being the curse of Shawn Michaels continues...

The Headbangers (Mosh and Thrasher) defeated Goldust and Marc Mero (13:54)
Thrasher pinned Mero
**1/4
Solid opener.

TAKA Michinoku defeated Pantera to retain the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship (10:11)
Michinoku pinned Pantera.
***1/4
This match was really good. The crowd could not have cared less though.

The Godwinns (Henry and Phineas) defeated The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) (11:14)
Phinneas pinned Pierre.
¾*
Too long for these guys.

Bradshaw defeated NWA North American Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett by disqualification (8:59)
Jarrett was disqualified, Jarrett retained the title.
*1/2
The first time a NWA title was defended on a WWF PPV. That's pretty much all I got to say about this match.

Ken Shamrock, Ahmed Johnson, Chainz, Skull and 8-Ball defeated The Nation of Domination(The Rock, Farooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa, and Mark Henry) (13:46)
Shamrock forced Rock to submit with the Ankle Lock.
**1/4
This was the War of Attrition match which means elimination. Yet, it was not elimination style.

Kane defeated Vader (10:59)
Kane pinned Vader.
*1/2
Vader was just a name for Kane to mow down before Taker at Wrestlemania.

Steve Austin, Owen Hart, Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie defeated Triple H, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg and Savio Vega in a No Disqualification Match (17:41)
Austin pinned Road Dogg.
Vega was a last-minute replacement for Shawn Michaels, who was pulled out of the match due to injuries from his match with the Undertaker at Royal Rumble.
***1/2
Fun garbage match. Crowd went apeshit for Austin.

~ I was in attendance and this was a good night. I was upset that HBK wasn’t there, but whatever. The main event was fun. Nothing at all historical happened at this show. It seemed more like a house show than a PPV.
