Fully Loaded 1999 Review

The end...of an era......for, I don't know...2 months?

Jeff Jarrett (w/Debra) defeated Edge to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship (13:22)
Jarrett pinned Edge after the Stroke.
**3/4
Good stuff from both guys.

The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) defeated Michael Hayes and The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff) in a Handicap match to win the WWF Tag Team Championship (9:32)
Bradshaw pinned Hayes after a Double Powerbomb.
**3/4
Pretty good as far as handicap matches go.

D'Lo Brown defeated Mideon to win the WWF European Championship (7:11)
Brown pinned Mideon after a Low Down.

This is one of the matches that should go about 5 minutes.

The Big Boss Man defeated Al Snow to win the WWF Hardcore Championship (10:11)
Boss Man pinned Snow after hitting him with a metal rod.
**1/4
Not as good as most Hardcore stuff they were doing this year, but not horrible or anything. Bossman needs matches like this because he sucks so much.

The Big Show defeated Kane (w/Hardcore Holly as Special Guest Referee) (8:13)
Big Show pinned Kane after a Chokeslam.
*
Again, they need to shave off a minute or two when guys like this go at it.

Ken Shamrock defeated Steve Blackman in a Iron Circle match (4:19)
Shamrock won by KO after choking Blackman out with a steel chain.

Wasn't a match but it was at least kinda fun for 4 minutes.

Road Dogg and X-Pac defeated Mr. Ass and Chyna (11:44)
Road Dogg pinned Mr. Ass after a Pumphandle Drop to win the rights to the DX name.
**1/4
Not the best right here.

Triple H defeated The Rock in a Strap match (19:21)
Triple H pinned Rock after a Pedigree to earn a WWF Title shot at SummerSlam.
**3/4
This is the match that turned me into a HHH mark (at that time). I don't know why. It was proably the awesome interview he had with JR a couple days before this. Match was solid enough.

Steve Austin defeated The Undertaker in a First Blood match to retain the WWF Championship (15:31)
Austin won when Undertaker started to bleed. As a result, Vince McMahon could no longer appear on WWF television.
***1/4
Probably their 2nd best match ever after Summerslam 98.

~ Overall, nothing too bad but nothing great. Still, it all hovered around *** and in 1999 that works for me.
