o After the match, friend and WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero celebrated with Benoit in the ring to close the show.
o *****
Wow. Just WOW. Just told a perfect story. HHH and HBK eliminate Benoit so they can finish their rivalry. Benoit comes back and whoops ass. Then makes HHH tap for the title. I just knew when HHH went for that Pedigree at the end, it was gonna be over. I knew Benoit was gonna leave Backlash next month with the title, I just didn't know if he would have it going in. I guess that's the pessimist in me. I didn't really think Benoit be champed until it happened because it was promised so many times and never delivered.

~ 2 matches at at least ***1/4, a ****1/2 classic and if that’s not enough, my 1st ***** match in over 4 years. That’s a strong recommendation.

March 18 – Eddie Guerrero beat Rey Mysterio to retain the WWE title. ***1/2

April 12 – Michaels, Benoit, Benjamin & Foley beat Evolution. ****
