Great American Bash 2007 Review

Worst champion ever...no not Cena...

• Montel Vontavious Porter defeated Matt Hardy to retain the WWE United States Championship (12:54)
o MVP pinned Hardy after a Playmaker.
o ***1/4
I was really digging this match. Too bad they still have yet to have a rematch.

• Hornswoggle defeated Chavo Guerrero (c), Jimmy Wang Yang, Shannon Moore, Funaki and Jamie Noble to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship (6:57)
o Hornswoggle pinned Noble after a Tadpole Splash.
o Hornswoggle was momentarily in the ring when the opening bell rang, officially making himself an entrant in the match (which was open to all cruiserweights), though he was hidden under the ring for most of the match.
o **1/2
Good and stupid.

• Carlito defeated The Sandman in a Singapore Cane on a Pole Match (5:30)
o Carlito pinned Sandman after a Back Cracker.
o ½*
Sucks.

• Candice Michelle defeated Melina to retain the WWE Women's Championship (6:21)
o Candice pinned Melina after a Candywrapper.
o **1/4
Not bad actually.

• Umaga defeated Jeff Hardy to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship (11:19)
o Umaga pinned Hardy after a Samoan Spike.
o **1/2
I underrate this match because this is the lowest rating I've seen.

• John Morrison defeated CM Punk to retain the ECW World Championship (7:50)
o Morrison pinned Punk after hitting Punk with both his knees after Punk attempted a slingshot manuever.
o ***
Really short but they knew what they were doing.

• Randy Orton defeated Dusty Rhodes in a Texas Bullrope match (5:38)
o Orton pinned Rhodes after hitting him in the head with the cowbell.
o ¼*
Shit.

• The Great Khali defeated Kane and Batista in a Triple Threat match to retain the World Heavyweight Championship (10:02)
o Khali pinned Kane after a Batista Bomb from Batista and a Giant Chokeslam.
o ¾*
More shit.

• John Cena defeated Bobby Lashley to retain the WWE Championship (15:11)
o Cena pinned Lashley after an FU from the top turnbuckle.
o Cena and Lashley shook hands after the match.
o ***1/2
Suprisingly good. Cena continues his glorious run.

~ I actually liked this show a little.
