Vengeance 2004 Review and Benoit vs HHH Iron Man match.

Benoit beats HHH...again...(sorry just love typing that)

• Tajiri and Rhyno defeated Garrison Cade and Jonathan Coachman (7:30)
o Tajiri pinned Coach after a Buzzsaw kick.

Eh.

• Batista defeated Chris Jericho (12:19)
o Batista pinned Jericho after a Batista Bomb. Jericho's foot was on the bottom rope during the pin.
o **1/4
Pretty good for a Batista match.

• La Résistance (Róbert Conway and Sylvain Grenier) defeated Ric Flair and Eugene by disqualification to retain the World Tag Team Championship (12:30)
o Eugene was disqualified after shoving referee Mike Chioda.
o *3/4
Not too good.

• Matt Hardy defeated Kane in a No Disqualification match (10:34)
o Hardy pinned Kane after he hit Kane with a steel chair which ricocheted the steel steps off his face.

Suprised by the win, not by the mediocrity of the match.

• Edge defeated Randy Orton to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship (26:36)
o Edge pinned Orton after a Spear.
o ***1/2
A little long but still good. The rematch 8 days later was better (***3/4).

• Victoria defeated Molly Holly (6:20)
o Victoria pinned Molly after a Superkick to become #1 contender to the WWE Women's Championship.

Actually, not that bad.

• Chris Benoit defeated Triple H to retain the World Heavyweight Championship (29:04)
o Benoit pinned Triple H with a roll-up after Eugene accidentally hit him with a steel chair.
o ***1/4
Should have been better.

~ 2 matches at ***1/4 and ***1/2 respectively. Noting else going on.

~ Bonus match: Raw, weeks later. Chris Benoit defeated HHH in an IronMan Match.
o First Decision: Benoit gets HHH in a cross face, and then Benoit rolls HHH up for the 1-2-3. Benoit is up 1-0. (At about the 51 mark) Second Decision: After Benoit its thrown into the corner, HHH nails the pedigree on Benoit for the 1,2,3. Both men are tied at one a piece. (At about the 30 mark)
Third Decision: Benoit is counted out. HHH is up 2-1. (This happend at about the 28 mark)
Fourth Decision: After an arn anderson like spinebuster, HHH pins Chris Benoit 1,2,3. He is up 3-1 now. (This happens at the 21 mark)
Fifth Decision: Benoit locks in the Sharpshooter. HHH crawls to the ropes...He's almost there...Benoit fights and pulls him back to the middle of the ring. Triple H taps out! Triple H is still up 3-2. (Happend at around the 15 mark)
Sixth Decision: Benoit locks in the crossface again in the middle of the ring, and this time HHH taps out. It's all tied up now 3-3. (This decision happend at around the 11 mark) Seventh Decision: After the big chair shot from Eugene, Chris Benoit covers HHH as the clock winds down to win the Iron Man Match!
