Got the crowd ready.

• Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch defeated The Hardys (Matt and Jeff) to retain the World Tag Team Championship (8:51)
o Cade pinned Jeff after a Sit-out spinebuster slam.

Generic match with these 4.

• Chavo Guerrero defeated Jimmy Wang Yang to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship (9:15)
o Guerrero pinned Yang after a Frog Splash.

OK.

• Johnny Nitro defeated CM Punk to win the vacant ECW World Championship (8:01)
o Nitro pinned Punk after an elevated Front flip neckbreaker.
o Nitro was a replacement for Chris Benoit, who was withdrawn for personal reasons.

I was barely paying attention to this match because I was chanting "we want Benoit." No one said where he was.

• Santino Marella defeated Umaga by disqualification to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship (2:35)
o Umaga was disqualified after he refused to stop punching Marella.
o 1/4*
Too short and no action.

• Montel Vontavious Porter defeated Ric Flair to retain the WWE United States Championship (8:40)
o MVP pinned Flair after a Playmaker.

OK for what it was.

• Deuce 'N Domino (w/Cherry) defeated Sgt. Slaughter and Jimmy Snuka to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship (6:29)
o Deuce pinned Snuka after rolling through a Crossbody.
o After the match, Deuce 'N Domino continued attacking Slaughter and Snuka until Rick Martel and Tony Garea made the save.

Awful. I was sitting on my hands waiting for it to end.

• Edge defeated Batista by countout to retain the World Heavyweight Championship (16:50)
o Batista was counted out.
o Batista originally won the match by disqualification, but the match was restarted by SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long.
o As a result of losing, Batista will not get another chance at the title while Edge remains champion.
o ***1/2
MOTN. I was fraking out because I thought Edge was gonna lose after the restart. Thank God he didn't.

• Candice Michelle defeated Melina to win the WWE Women's Championship (4:21)
o Michelle pinned Melina after a Spinning Heel Kick.

Not bad.

• John Cena defeated Mick Foley, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton and King Booker (w/Queen Sharmell) to retain the WWE Championship (10:07)
o Cena pinned Foley after an FU.

Really fun for 10 minutes. I honestly had no idea it was that short when it was over.
